I’ve had this idea on my Pinterest “Crafty Creations” board for quite some time…months in fact. Well, I finally got around to trying it out.
What to do with too-big t-shirts? Turn them into a workout tank top!
I had gotten this Under Armor shirt for free and with it being two sizes too big I had gone and put it in the Goodwill pile. However, being a good quality shirt otherwise I decided to use it as my guinea pig for this DIY make-over project.
STEP 1:
Cut out sleeves, stitched neckline and bottom hem.
STEP 2:
Flip over and create a racer-back by more deeply cutting the arm holes. Then cut a deep v down from the top of the neckline.
STEP 3:
Stretch out the fabric that you cut away from the bottom. Gather the back and tie a knot at the top. Wrap the fabric all the way down and back up again, knotting it one final time.
STEP 4:
DONE!
Thanks Pinterest!
I want to know…
Have you ever created anything fun with too big/old clothing?
Leave ideas in the comments below….I’ve got a few more shirts that could be re-purposed!
