The first part of our NYC trip included stunning views and celebrity sightings…and that was just up until lunch!

We started off the afternoon with a trip to Macy’s and Herald Square to see the window displays and holiday decorations. PicMonkey Collage - MACYS

My favorite was the one with the sparkly ballerina, of course.

Once inside we faced with tons and tons of people, some shopping, some just looking. We weren’t planning on buying anything until Z stumbled upon…

My Mom treated us to a selection of dark chocolate truffles including key lime, hazelnut and chocolate lava cake. I was truly in my “happy place.”

Then it was time to head to our last major stop of the day: Central Park.

But first, Z’s first subway ride! Kids grow up so fast these days…

When we arrived at the park the sun was going down and the temperatures started dropping, but that didn’t stop us from taking in the sights. PicMonkey Collage- Central Park

The park is beautiful; an oasis in the middle of a huge city. We agreed that we definitely should plan another trip in warmer weather and do some more exploring.

(Random) Question of the Day: When was the last time you went ice skating?
