We awoke to a crisp cold morning and beautiful sunrise in the mountains.

Z and I made an attempt at a workout before the rest of the family woke up but ultimately lacked the energy and enthusiasm for anything extensive.

The rest of the day involved celebrating not one, but TWO holidays. Not only were we having an early Thanksgiving but it was Grandpa’s birthday as well!

While the turkey was in the oven there was some card playing, light lunch eating, reading, simple relaxation and family time.

hanging around

Kristi and Grandma were busy in the kitchen preparing turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. All the turkey-day go-tos.

At 3:30 it was time to eat…

…and celebrate!045

We hung around for a bit after dinner so the boys could watch their football. At 6pm we were on the road once again, Baltimore bound.

So glad we got the chance to see family and join in the birthday celebrations. I know he reads this blog so…Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Three Generations

Now we’ve traveled North to New York for Thanksgiving Round 2. It’s good to be back in the Empire State. I wish everyone safe travels and hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving!
